Everything you need to know about Troop 31

Welcome to Troop 31! We are delighted that your family is joining our scouting community. This guide answers the most common questions that new families have about our program.

Weekly Meetings
Troop meetings are held weekly at Third Presbyterian Church. Scouts are expected to attend in full uniform and arrive on time.
Monthly Campouts
The troop typically holds a campout each month year-round. Permission slips and fees are collected in advance. All equipment can be borrowed for new scouts.
Summer Camp
Each summer, the troop attends Massawepie Scout Camps for one week. Summer camp is one of the most important scouting experiences — we encourage all scouts to attend.
Parental Involvement
The troop depends on parent volunteers for transportation, camping supervision, merit badge counseling, and committee support. BSA Youth Protection Training is required for all adult leaders.
Costs & Dues
Annual BSA membership dues, a uniform, and camping fees are the primary costs. No scout should be unable to participate due to cost — speak with a leader privately.
Communication
Important announcements are shared via the troop newsletter and email. Make sure we have your current contact information.
